Linda V. Beach, LMT #1538

Linda was licensed as a massage therapist in 1992 and owned a successful private clinic in Florida where she specialized in neuromuscular therapy and medical massage for injury and pain management.  Pursuing her dream to share her passion for the spa industry with others, Linda founded the Institute in 1998.  In addition to teaching spa therapies & business practices to students and professionals alike, Linda is a freelance writer for spa industry publications.   Her favorite activities involve being on, around or under the ocean.  She loves to travel, scuba dive & ride her jet ski.



Assistant Campus Director:

Joy Strider, LMT#1370

Joy graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Conservation.  Her passion for alternative forms of healing and nutrition led her to the Lakeside School for Integrated Healing where she studied massage therapy and became licensed in 1989.  Joy and her husband care deeply about animal welfare and currently enjoy the company of three cats with the hopes of adding a dog to the family in the near future.

Jessica Shefsick, LEI #34603

Jessica relocated from Ohio to the Lowcountry in 1997,  where she started her career in the beauty industry working behind the Estee Lauder counter.  Inspired, she turned her passion for all things cosmetic into a career as an esthetician in 2001 & received her instructor’s license in 2007.  Jessica has managed two local spas and recently launched her own special event & wedding makeup business, SKINZIN.  In her spare time, you can find her relaxing at home with her husband and two children.

Anneliza Itkor, LMT #3946

Anneliza has been a licensed massage therapist for over 22 years. She started her career in California and relocated in 2004 to Hilton Head Island. She has been a massage therapy instructor at both Corinthian College and Bryman Technical College. Anneliza currently owns Bodies in Balance, where she specializes in deep tissue massage. She loves sharing her passion for the healing arts and her knowledge of anatomy and physiology with future generations of massage therapists. In addition to teaching at the Institute, Anneliza is also a student, studying to become an esthetician. In what little spare time she has, you will find her playing tennis, knitting, or just relaxing with a good book and her husband Josh, her dogs Domino and Minkey, her cats Peanut Butter and Murray and her bird, Ralfie.
